01Who we are

Marine Vault is built and operated by Context Avenue Labs, an independent software studio based in Canada. This policy explains what information Marine Vault collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

02Information we collect

Marine Vault is a memory vault for your boat. To provide the service, we collect:

• Boat registry data: your boat's profile, systems, and related details you choose to record.
• Documents and media: photos, receipts, manuals, and voice or typed log entries you add to your vault.
• Reminder data: maintenance schedules and due dates tied to your boat's systems.
• Basic usage data: feature usage and crash reports used to improve the product during the beta.

03Offline-first storage

Marine Vault is designed to work offline at the dock. Your vault data is stored on your device first. Where cloud sync or backup is enabled, data is encrypted in transit and stored with reputable infrastructure providers.

You can delete individual records or your entire vault at any time from within the app.

04Beta program

Marine Vault is currently distributed through Apple TestFlight. During the beta, no payment information is collected. Apple may collect additional diagnostic data under its own TestFlight terms, which are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

05What we don't do

Across every Context Avenue Labs app:

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not serve third-party advertising.
• We do not collect more data than the feature in front of you requires.

06Service providers

We rely on a small number of service providers (such as cloud hosting and, where applicable, AI processing) to operate the app. These providers process data on our behalf under agreements that restrict their use of your information to providing services to us.

07Data retention

We keep your data only as long as your account or vault is active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations. When you delete content or your account, it is removed from our production systems promptly and from backups on a rolling basis.

08Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Context Avenue Labs honours these requests for all users, not only where the law requires it. Contact us at support@contextavenue.com and we will respond within 30 days.

09Children

Marine Vault is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
